I fully understand what the movie says when watched from beginning to end. I just meant that it shows the full excitement and how much drugs can be just a part of life. Through most of the movie, it just looks like young people having a great time scoring and fixing.

I think it IS a lot like Fight Club. If you look at the movie you get to see a bunch of half naked sweaty guys punching each other. That movie has depth. Trainspotting can easily be taken the wrong way. My comment about it saying drugs are fun was not entirely serious. I just meant that if you wanna see a movie where the druggies seem like they could totally be your buddies, and the peolpe you hang out with, not a bunch of grubbies from the gutters...

By the way, when it was released TRAINSPOTTING was criticized for being a little too pro drug. My comment was sorta a joke on that. its like peole who blame violence on music, by taking one lyric of a song without ever giving the artist a chance to make an entire point.

: May I ask why you think TRAINSPOTTING screams Drugs are fun?

: Sure, in the smae way BLOW does-but that's just so the reality hits harder at the end.

: Sorry-maybe I'm a little too pissed-on FRIDAY, to celebrate School out, I drank 4 bottles of cider and watched Evil Dead 2. Yep, sure was sad and fun.

:
: Anyhoo, your remark reminded me of what someone said in school about FIGHT CLUB, and how they said it made violence cool and made them want to do it. Pissed me off, cos FC is the best anti-violence movie ever.
