Because it was too much like A Better Place. This was before I even knew the plot, mind you. It was for the better, as mine wasn't half as good as A Better Place. The screenplay I am working on now (transformed from the original), has the same feel as it did before, just much, much better. I'm extremely happy with it, and I'm only into the first page of the second act.
