In regards to your Arena articles about needing to lose weight. I'm just posting as a fan who hopes you'll be around for a long time making me laugh. I'm 20 years old, and back in November, after about 4 years of eating uncontrollably, and feeling shaky when I didn't eat for a while, I was diagnosed with Reactive Hypoglycemia. It's when you eat a large amount of simple carbohydrates (white bread, etc) or foods high in sugar, your pancreas secretes a large amount of insulin to break down the sugars, after a while it shuts down, and makes you feel very shaky and faint. Anyways, I had gotten up to around 250-260 pounds. I'm 6'2, but I was still putting on alot of weight, enough to give me a nice double chin and some perky man-breasts. To control the hypoglycemia and the weight gain my doctor put me on a meal plan. It's a plan that is normally given to diabetics. It consists of eating every 2-3 hours, and eating small meals, even at breakfast, lunch and dinner. You also have to eat a good amount of vegetables and fruits. The portions are really small, and are hard to get used to, but after two or three weeks it became like a routine and I am really used to it now. Well, since November, my family (who decided to do the plan with me, to make it easier on me) and I sticked to the meal plan, and have all lost a good bit of weight. I am down to about 225. I had tried diets all thru high school (even Xenical, which didn't work for me) and this is the only thing that worked. Hell, I never thought I would lose the weight and feel better, I LOVED food, just loved it. But after starting this meal plan and eating small snacks every two to three hours, it made me realize that food is really just fuel. I'm just writing to tell you that if you want, you could ask your doctor about this thing. You don't have to be a diabetic or have hypoglycemia to do it, and it sure beats having the oily, fatty shits.. believe me, I was there too man.
