if you ask any major filmmaker, they will tell you that, even though they have written the storylines and plot, the final script isn't written yet. I imagine thats even more so when dealing with 6 fucking movies and plotlines that span all of them.
And as for the continuity errors they mention in Clerks, i can argue with at least one of them. Yes, Leia's mother is dead, but it was her adopted FATHER who was the senator.
