Kevin,
Saw your 4 1/2 hr. talk in Lex KY last night.
You gave everyone more than their money's worth...
you say a lot that needs to be said today...a lot
that's never been said 'south of the mason-dixon line'.
'Some people were shocked by some things said, but
it broke the ice.
Kentucky is borderline, both south and midwest..
can go either way depending on any particular person's
mindset or point of view. I guess you can say it
'swings both ways'.
The south (and much of the U.S.) has traditionally been
a huge prison of homophobia that many men are misled to
believe they're not allowed to have close male friendships
because they misidentify it as gay, which they, furthermore,
believe to be unacceptable. There are too many men like
the homophobic military officer character in "American Beauty".
We need more voices like yours to shut them up.
You've earned huge balls for the afterlife.
