It depends on the theatre and stuff. Hell I am 24 and have been carded many times to see a R Rated movie. But that is because I have a baby face and look like I am 15, so I have been told.
Anyways, if you are thinking about sporting that beard in Jersey next time so you can score some brew, I would say don't try it.
They were pretty tight about carding and the reason is because they get fined if you drink. In Indiana its a $500 fine and a possible 90 days in jail. But you never get the jail time, just the fine.
