I went to a marijuana legalization rally at the State Capitol once. A couple hundred people stoned on the grass. Marijuana does not make you a compelling public speaker.
Cigar-size joints were being passed around, and I figured, ditchweed probably, but as a gesture of solidarity... I got more zonked than I had ever been that day.
The next speaker starts and he's going on about how it's impossible to stop marijuana usage - I mean, we're on the grass in front of the State Capitol shmokin joints you can see from space, and surrounded by cops, and they can't do a thing....
WAIT -- did he just say surrounded by COPS?
Yes, we have a nice big contingent of the police force all around the masses, and I say to my brother, I gotta go.
So we took off down the street and watched a Rocky & Bullwinkle festival. You gotta do what you believe in.
