...but it's really more of a past-time, like golf or cricket, than a sport. And sure, you gotta be fit for basketball, it just seems... limited as a spectator sport. A lot of the games I've seen follow the 'team A score a point, team B score a point, team A score a point, team B score a point' pattern, and all the 'goals' seem to be the same. Meh - I suppose if you're not a fan, you can't appreciate it.
: : ...and football, lame? Insanity - it's easily a game that's faster and more exciting than most American sports... their version of 'football' has too many breaks - ditto for Basketball (time-outs? They're for wussies). Baseball's a good game for drinking, but not overly entertaining. Hockey... well, I like hockey. Although, to be fair, that's really a Canadian past-time.
: : In fact, if America didn't have wrestling, I doubt they'd have any interesting sports to watch at all ;-)
: What about Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks (you may be a bit young to remeber them actually!, they were great UK wrestlers in the days of UK saturday UK TV.
: Give me rugby anyday, i can stand basketball, cos i play that game a lot and am a coach and understand how fit you gotta be for that game so i kinda give it a lot of respect... baseball, never seen a whole game, cant see tha attraction but am sur to be hooked if i ever watched the game!!!
