I was just watching Get Smart a week or so ago and they had the Simon the Likeable, a guy who was so Likeable that he could get away with anything, CONTROL even let him escape, (Simon was a CHAOS agent) The way that everyone liked him reminded me of the way everyone like Mel Gibson when he appeared on the Simpsons awhile ago. I'm not saying that they based his whole persona on Simon but it could have been in the backs of the writers minds, could it have? Or do I just spend too much time in front of the TV?
