got a problem i need help with

ok i have quicktime 3 apparently. im using windows 98. now i tried to get quicktime 5 but it says i have another quicktime runing. i delted all quicktime stuff except 2 files which couldnt not be delted cause windows is using em. how the fuck do i get rid of that?
