There used to be a Hollywood code that required that the bad guys be punished, and which resulted in some truly hilarious endings.
Personal favorite: The Bad Seed
A little girl whacks anyone who gets in her way over things like parts in the school play, being grounded, etc.
She just about gets away with it, but at the very last second of the film, out of the blue, she's struck by lightening and right prevails.

: there was just an ad on the tv for one of these so i was thinking this... they do have a certain cool factor.
