For info on Vegas, go to vegas.com. Lot's of helpful stuff there. As for romantic spots Vegas is pretty gaudy. You can, however, ride a gondola at the Venetian or visit Paris. The Strat offers the best view of the city.

Best shows: "O" at Bellagio, Lance Burton (if you like magic), Wayne Newton (if you can get tickets). There are also plenty of headliners, but from June to September their numbers dwindle a bit. Try to see Rodney Dangerfield if he's there. As old as he is, he's still finny. And funnier when he works Vegas. And, while it's not a show, you can run out to LV Speedway and drive (or ride along in) a stock car. I didn't do it in Vegas but in Dover and it was mind blowing.

Don't rent a car unless you plan to drive outside the city. There are busses and cabs and driving can be a pain in the ass with all the traffic on the strip. If you plan to go to Red Rock, Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon (the latter are about 2.5 and 4.5 hours drive, respectively) then rent your car at the airport. In town the prices are just TOO high. Go to Expedia or one of the travel sites for the best deal.

For breakfast, Bellagio has a great buffet for about $15. So do other places, but I can't name them all. Bellagio's is quite nice. Luch at Ceaser's food court is decent and cheap (relatively). For dinner I recommend Spago, Emeril's (either his Delmonico Steakhouse in the Venetian or his New Orleans Fish House at the MGM Grand), Circo (at Bellagio). Of course, there are hundres of places to eat, but these are some of my favorites. Emeril's restaurants are all top notch and Circo offers seating overlooking the water show. Expect to pay about $100 per person at any of these.

Hope that helps.

: Also: Anyone got quick tips, like the best shows, romantic spots, buffets, rental cars, etc.? Never been to Vegas before and looking for good ideas. We're staying at the Flamingo for 3 nights and are looking to check out as much of the city as we can...

: So who's interested?

: Anyone? Anyone? Beuller?
