Jason Lee is really the son of Lee Marvin (who is the brother of Stan Lee). Lee Marvin had a fling with Peggy Lee and Jason was the result. Jason's birth name is Jason Marvin.

Peggy couldn't marry Lee Marvin mainly for the fact that her name would be Peggy Lee Marvin, and she thought they would be confused with each other in Hollywood thus ending each one's career. Lee Marvin was so distraught over this that he would beat up Peggy. This upset Jason so much that he renounced any ties to his father & took his mother's last name as his own instead.

After trying to break out on his own in professional tri-cycling at the young age of 11, Jason met up with & became good friends with Brandon Lee (son of Bruce Lee). Bruce liked Jason so much that he was adopted into the Martial Arts family. But things turned sour when Bruce had another son & decided to name him Jason also (Jason Lee - son of Bruce Lee - went on to portray his father in the movie "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story"). Jason Lee (from View Askew) felt left out & ran away all the while renouncing the up & coming sport of tri-cycling. He saw it as a dead sport.

One day while sulking on a street curb, the General Lee car came roaring around the corner like a bat out of hell. This startled Jason a little bit but yet it mesmerized him too. Suddenly, the General Lee hit a young skateboarder, killing him. The skateboard rolled to a stop just in front of Jason. Jason took this as an omen and that's where he started becoming a professional skateboarder.

By the way, no matter what anyone says to you, Jason does NOT like Sara Lee products.
