: Also, I saw Mulholland Dr. and me and my friends *swear* half of that movie was *supposed* to be confusing and not make sense. Who else thinks that?
Lynch is famous for forcing confusion. The first time I saw Mulholland Drive I thought Lynch had lost his mind... but then I watched it again and it was much easier to follow the second time around.
It is basicly a dream sequence from the viewpoint of a dead person (possibly 2 dead people). One is the viewpoint of how the actual events lead up to the death of one person and the other is what caused one person to want the other dead. The homeless person seems to represent some secret... possibly representing misery.. and he holds the secret to some hidden pain. The 2 guys in the diner who first see the homeless guy, I suspect, represent how dreams can become reality... the oprah house represents the idea that even after something is gone (possibly your life) the moment keeps on going until it is done (possibly once you have died your thoughts continue on for some time).
All this could be wrong but it does seem to make some sense. :)
