While I liked it, among the list of totally valid complaints I've heard, and not bothered to defend the movie against largely because they're true, but also because it's just a stupid summer movie, so who cares?

Anyway:
- "Yoda doesn't laugh anymore" ... which is totally true, that definitely takes away from him (as does the "come on" motion with his hands, which was ONLY there because they could do it with CGI)
- "The Jedi suck. No, seriously, the Keystone Cops would be better protectors of the Republic." Thus far, they've allowed Palpatine to grow further and further in power and actually helped him to do it, various ones of them have died, and they've all been fooled repeatedly and shown absolutely no ability to defend anything. It's all been spoken about. Only Yoda does anything, and he gets worn out after like thirty seconds of fighting. [Before you bring up all the over-whelming odds in the last scene, bottom line fact is they were losing that battle that they got themselves into knowingly, until Yoda and the clones showed up.]

You know what the movie needed? A James Bond style opening (old school Bond) where it's purely about the character acting like a hero and DOING SOMETHING. I mean, come on, Obi-Wan and Anakin "return from off-planet doing some heroic mission" ... but instead we get "Huh-huh, glad that ship didn't blow up," followed by the guy sticking his fingers in his ears and a big explosion.

- Too many cute "in joke" moments like "You'll be the death of me." ... this one, eh. It works for some, it doesn't work for others. I agree there may be too many, but I liked that one because it at least showed SOME ability on their part to tell the future (which I thought they could do).
- Anything with Anakin on screen. Instead of an arc, we get a kid who's more annoying than the kid in the first one, because at least the kid in the first one was nice. [Pretty sure Brian was the first, though far, FAR, from the only, to say this.]

Anyway, there's plenty more, but it's 8PM and I am outta here.
