The father ended up not claiming custody of his son, despite the fact that the California Angels won the Pennant, and then went on to win the World Series. I take this as a prophetic sign from a Higher Realm (namely, Hollywood) that Kevin will not be going to Seattle, but the New Jersey Devils will still win the Stanley Cup.
