Ok so you have a different view on Bahrain than I do, I also bet you came here for a vacation for a couple weeks, not a duty station for a couple years. Maybe it's because I'm American and they don't like our freedom and fake dog shit and plastic vomit and blow up dolls that they give us a harder time than say, the Austrailians, As far a pearl diving goes, you wouldn't get me in this oil slick covered water for two seconds to pick up a few overated grains of sand. And just because they're independent now only means nobody wants to mess with them because the Navy's 5th fleet is in Bahrain. Now if "his majesty the king" want to kick us out of Bahrain like 80%+ of the population wants how long do you think they'll last in the real world? I give them a month before it becomes a province of Iraq or Saudi Arabia. The only reason Bahrain has been independant so long is because bigger countries like the UK and US have always had a presence here. And I think I pointed out to everyone that intended no offence when I wrote this post so if you're offended by the word "stupid, idiot and/or jackass", you need to get off the internet and watch more Telletubbies because as long as there's the internet people are going to use it to badmouth what ever they want and don't give a damn about offending 1 or 2 people.
