: he's down with sidious and tyranous and the darkside because:

: 1. and an early scene, he defends count dooku to Padme, who says she thinks he's behind a lot of the stuff going down

: 2. he's all about going to genosis and starting a fight even though it's apparent that many Jedi will be killed (because they're walking into the droid construction zone)

: 3. he's the only jedi with a PURPLE lightsaber; not the standard blue or green, like EVERY SINGLE OTHER JEDI IN THE HUGE BATTLE SCENE (atleast i thought so... i didn't notice anything else)

: 4. he kills Jango Fett; check out the reaction shot of Count Dooku; it says to me "What is Windu doing? That wasn't part of the plan". Windu kills Fett because he doesn't want Palpatine to have an endless supply of clones at his command and hence have more power than him
