Hmm, haven't heard about the seratonin release from platelets . . . It might be possible it could affect neurochemistry (although I rather doubt it). Look it up on MedLine! It's recently been experimentally shown that the areas of the brain that are affected by "pleasure" are the same as the areas affected by "pain"; I'm thinking that's the more likely cause. I could be wrong, though. :)
