i think there are a lot of funny women out there too. I know a lot who are really funny. My beef is that percentage wise, i think for some odd reason men are funnier and i dont know if its me or that ive benn socialized or what . .maybe it was the fact i was raised by three women . .who the hell knows . . .
: : i once had a really cool professor when i was in college ask the question to the class...why aren't women funny? and i thought about this, a lot...and there really aren't many females who can make me laugh as much as men can . . .is it because I am a man??? i dont know, id have to poll some women...answer the question as to who is funnier men or women, and there is your answer i think . ..
: I have to disagree. There are plenty of hilarious women out there who are at least as funny as any man. Janeane Garofalo has been one of my favourite stand-up comics for a long time. I dig Elvira Kurt, too, although she's not on the same level. Jan Hooks was fantastic on SNL. And my friend Lynn is one of the funniest people I've ever known.
: : ps its ok to hate Ellen and Rosie . .they suck no matter what vuew they see during sex . .
: Exactly. I've hated Ellen since I saw her on some stand-up comedy show-- maybe the old "Half-Hour Comedy Hour" on MTV-- and then saw her again on some other comedy show and remembered hating her. Then she got her own show, "Laurie Hill", and I saw a couple of episodes, and they were bad, and I still hated her. Then she got "These Friends Of Mine", and I hated her even more for getting a second chance despite her previous failure and my intense hatred. Then "These Friends Of Mine" changed into "Ellen", and I hated her even more for so blatantly trying to have the next "Seinfeld". Then she got all famous, and I hated her more, and then she became Famous Gay Lady, and I hated her more than ever for tricking people into thinking my hatred was mere homophobia.
