First off, let me say that as a casual reader of the VA Board, it can be extremely annoying to see an intelligent post receive a few replies, spark some debate, and then -- maybe only a half-hour later -- just get buried so fucking far under 100 other posts e.g., "What's yr favorite song?" and "AOTC really sucks."
As I've been lurking, I've noticed that no one really (or, rather, rarely) scrolls down to check out what was written under the 100 posts of the past 30 minutes. I sympathize with those who are frustrated with having to scroll through miles of posts just to see what they missed while taking a leak. As I've said before, a simple modification of this board's layout (not its content) would solve this problem -- such as the option to collapse threads.
That being said, let me announce yet again that I, too, have a cause: SOMEONE PLEASE UPDATE THE SUMMARIES! I spent months (OK, maybe a month)trying to find the "Other Board" for OT posts, only to just recently discover that it no longer exists. It looks like it's closing in on a year since it was updated, and you guys are gonna start looking silly when you tell newbies like me to "Read The Summaries," only to discover that they summarize the arrest of Fatty Arbuckle (and what the fuck does that even mean?)!
I mean, come on! I HAVE A CAUSE, TOO!
