So that's what makes it better? Hell, I'm all for CGI if it looks better.

It's not nearly as good as the classic car chases, but it's well done. It loses points (in my opinion) for the fact that we almost never get an 'inside' perspective from the car (we see the car often, but we see Damon and Famke like twice through the whole scene). Also, the movie itself is nothing special. It's pretty much a standard plot, competently directed and well acted (natch). Apparently, the book's plot sounds much less like the standard cliche plot than this.

Basically, if you think you'll like the movie, you should see it. If you don't think you'll like it, there's nothing in the movie to convince you otherwise.
