I can't believe I actually used a line like that but that was how I explained to my girlfriend the other day why a kid in our development was bumping the clean version of Eminem's new album on his system, but couldn't seem to get past the "Without Me" track. It wasn't until later that night that I figured out where I got "easily led automaton." I think the same could go here.
