In case you're wondering, this is tongue in cheek, not riled. We're just poking fun at calmly because that's what you do to someone who offers little threat or anxiety.
Riled would be much less calm and much more violent... probably we would mention something about poop and your mother.

We're not trying too hard.
Think of it this way... if you're an attacking bird in the forest trying to pluck our eyes out we'll bash you with a stick or our hands or whatever... but you are a parakeet in a cage... so we instead poke your cage, and wait until you say something cute that you probably heard somewhere else... since Parakeets only repeat tired stuff that's been said before... they aren't mean or jerks... they just don't know any better.
When you say these silly little things... perhaps you've been taught to say, "piss on you asshole," by some wiley owner who thought a shit talking bird would be funny... well we'll respond with an, "oh how cute," and then move on to Thundercats...
