it is a bit safer for the kids to ride n skateboard n roller blade nowadays, as long as you get the right kind. although it wont help them if they get hit by some idiot driver talking on his cell phone.

now 'the kid in the helmet' on the short bus....well that a different story.

: helmets for everything. Skateboarding, bikes, rollerblading. When I was a kid wearing a helmet was a good way to get the shit beat out of you. How are they supposed to learn NOT to fall over unless they crack their head a couple times?
