Ebert tends to lean towards my kind of movies, so I generally trust him, and Roper seems to be trying furiously to keep his job by trying to agree with Ebert as much as possible. What made Siskel and Ebert so great was the sibling-esque rivalry between them. What I see now is
Ebert: I liked it.
Roper: Now, I came on the show, expecting to say that I didn't like it,
with the introduction of your viewpoint, I realize that I
completely agree in every concievable way.
Ebert: Realy?
Roper: Yeah. Let's hug.
