I just wanted to take this time to ask you to pass along my thanks to your wife....HAHAHAHAHHA. Well, that COULD have taken an ugly turn, but alas, this message ISN'T about any sexual infidelities. I WOULD like to thank her for explaining to YOU what the hell Mulholland Drive was about. If it wasn't for her feminine ability to delve into the human psyche, and your opportunistic initiative to use it as fodder for your column, I too may have had absolutely no idea why that movie was amazing. Being a douchebag "aspiring filmmaker" as so many young males on this board are, I too endeavor to obtain some sort of appreciation for truly fine cinema (And I guess I'll retain some appreciation for your flicks as well). So now I can pretend that I'm intelligent and artsy while everyone I give my second-hand explanation to simply thinks I'm an artsy film faggot (GLAAD, I don't mean that in a manner that is offensive to homosexuals, but my sister is a lesbian so I think that cancels it out or something). Anyway, thanks again for making good movies, and for having the good sense to marry a woman with more sense than all of us.
