first off, don't buy a hardcover every week and you should be ok. At first, you will spend a little more figuring out what you like.
Once you have, you should find a comic store that discounts its new issue to members(those who reserve books) That saves a few bucks.
Also in a few months you will be more addicted than a crack junkie and it will not matter anyway..:)
Also..avoid falling for the multiple cover gimmick crap. Buy what you like.
After awhile if you wisely buy a few books that may be good for immediate resale, you can buffer the expense. For example, I bought an extra Black Cat because kevins stuff tends to go up in value quick. I pay 3..wait a few weeks and its sellable for 9 or 10 bucks...which I spend on more comics........
