Rats not making money can be analyzed in a few different ways. First, Rats catered more so than any of Kevins films(possible exception JSBSB) to US(Us being the comic reading "slacker" crowd)We all went to see it. The rest of the world did not.
Really though,as has been said before, a movies worth in the long term is not measured by box office, but by how it is seen years after. Is there a website that caters to "Wargames"? "weird science?" If so are these sites as visited as this one? I doubt it?
: And although I think View Askew's various failures in the box office are unjust, one must wonder if the success of Clerks went to Kevin Smith's head. (This is a critic speaking by the way). Was Mallrats the film that brought Smith back to earth?
