First, read the summaries. Then, lurk for a while (that means read the threads, but don't post). Lurking will give you a good idea of what really goes on here, plus it'll allow you to form some opinions of the users. After lurking for a while, you may begin posting. But try to stay away from any questions involving Jay and Silent Bob. Posts like that just seem to piss everybody off.
