I love Kevin, and actually have come to think of him as a pretty decent director, but I want someone big and ballsy directing my superhero flicks. Raimi was a perfect choice. Getting someone like Cameron on Spielberg or, yes, even McG makes much more sense than using a small-scale, mostly static director like Kevin. And while I think Kevin is one of the best comic writers today, I really don't think he'd lend himself well to a Batman/Superman film. Writing them in the comics, where he can play on what's happened in the past and over 60 years of backstory, blah-blah-blah, yes, perfect. But having to cram two King Dork American icons into maybe two hours for a mass audience? Don't think it would work...a second-tier character like Daredevil? Yes. Someone as massive as Batman? No.
