I didn't think you'd read this, so I didn't clear up the post:

I should have said: "Because Jersey Girl isn't a 'sequel' or part of a universe the general audience hasn't seen yet, it should attract more people, those people, at least, that I mentioned having skipped JSBSB because they didn't know who J&SB were. The movie WOULD do even better if it had a PG-13 rating, which would be important for Lopez's younger fanbase."
Hope that makes more sense.
