: : even on a movie website!

: : i think that's what keeps people away... they take it too serious!

: : I'm not a religion freak.. i haven't attended mass on a regular basis since 1993... but still, i believe. I don't follow things word for word, but general concepts are my thing.

: You may not be a Jesus Freak, but people tend to get defensive when you say something like "no one is telling you to pray... it's just an option (i would if i were you)" or this gem "the majority of people on earth are "religious." Athiests are just going to hell anyway, so why must they stir up so much dust?" The majority of people are religious, but if they don't accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they're going to Hell, also, right? I mean, why single out Athiests?

: I agree with you on the "Under God" issue, but for completely different reasons. If people are going to get so pissy about two words, then take them out! The original Pledge of Allegiance didn't have "under God" in it anyway. Yes, this country was formed by religious people, but it was also formed for religious freedom. You say that we have to accept that this is a religious country, but you need to accept that (according to your Bible) humans were given Free Will, and if people choose not to believe in God, it's their God-given right, and it's not your place to tell them that they're wrong, and that they're going to Hell just because they believe in something different than you, something that tells them IT'S right, and YOU'RE wrong. Because no living soul KNOWS who's right, and who's wrong, we just believe, and if Buddhism, or Islam, or Capraism gives them a happiness that Christianity doesn't, then respect it.
