After making films like Chasing Amy and Dogma, was J&SB a step down? Unlike Chasing Amy and Dogma, J&SB appealed to a different crowd (the Mallrats crowd, specifically). Now I loved Mallrats, so naturally I loved J&SB as well. Critics, as always, didn't necessarily agree with me. So was J&SB a step down, as far as writing and dialogue goes, from KS's previous works?
