I'm as much a fan of ROCKY and FIRST BLOOD as the next guy.
But I have a certain amount of faith in Kevin's judgement and assessments. In that article, he qualified the alleged feces-bandit as "one of the greatest actors of his generation."
I would humbly sumbit the following as PROOF POSITIVE that he *could not* be speaking of Sly.
1)RHINESTONE. "And they call me... Drinkin'Stein."
2)OSCAR. Let me repeat that for you: OSCAR.
4)OVER THE TOP. A movie about ARM WRESTLING...And a boy's love for his father. And ARM WRESTLING. "I'm gonna put you in a world of hurt, little man!" These words could not be spoken to "one of the greatest actors" of anything.
3)COBRA. Any man who ever slurred out the gravelly words "You're the disease and I'm the cure" across an unlit match while standing on an orange-crate to make it seem like he was as tall as Brigitte Nielson CANNOT be who Kevin was speaking about.
I neither know nor care who the poopophile is. But I'd like to live in a world where it could be Anthony Hopkins.
