I caught myself and said of course there would still be murders up the ying-yang without readily accessible guns, but it wouldn't be as easy. Domestic handgun use in this country has gotten HUGE in the last 30 years or so. Before that kids were shooting the shit out of each other in school. They were BEATING the shit out of each other in school, like you're supposed to. Guns have made us into a nation of pussies. Fight like a MAN or don't step up at all. Hunters? Fine, who cares, shoot all the dumb animals you want...but do you need more than say, 10 guns? You see guys with hundreds of these goddamn things....I mean why not cap it at 20? 30? 50?!? And buying a gun for "protection?" Bullshit. It's woefully apparent now that any household that has a gun for protection is more likely to end up with someone being accidentally shot by a family memeber, friend, or themselves than ever actually using it on some, phantom boogeyman trying to gank the family silver. Guns suck. Period. Some people need them, most people don't. And it's a million times to shoot someone without a second thought than to go and do it with your hands or some kind of killing "tool." For a few people, it doesn't matter. But they're crazy and shouldn't even be let outside, much less around rope, guns, knives, scissors, cars, or whatever.
