OH shit, i'm sorry. I didn't realize your midlife crisis had caught you a decade early.
While attending a university is recommended(not so much graduating as attending for awhile), it isn't a requirement you are correct. So what I recommend still goes, leave crime drama alone.
Find something else, or think out and research your crime drama a little better.
As for writing being in your blood I can only offer you two suggestions.
IF writing is IN your blood, you might consider less tatooing in your next incarnation.
OR
Try Writing IN YOUR BLOOD! That would surely attract more media attention than another movie about hitmen who quote from other movies while essentially performing the same acts in that movie.
