Kevin, from reading the summaries and bits and pieces here and there you sound pretty down on Mallrats. Not every film has to be a work of art. I guess it's different for the creator of a film, you have a vision of what it should be and if it doesn't match that vision then it's disappointing. But I and most of my friends enjoyed it. Even some of us backwards Aussies like the dialogue you write. ;) Specially when the jokes aren't straightfoward some of the time but come at you from unexpected corners.
