to the following method...put your writing in a package and have it sent registered mail to yourself. Sign for it, then don't open it. File it. If a question ever comes up about whether or not you wrote it first, you pull out your package with the Post office time stamp, and there'll also be thing you signed for it. This is usually admissible in court, although if it's a major important work of yours, you're much better off the other way.
