I didn't know dick about punctuation when I got to college... which is a fine representation of our public school systems, but one writing class fixed most of my problems in less than a few weeks. If it hadn't I would have failed from the 2 points per mistake deductions this guy had.
There are so many punctuation errors in that post, that I would hate to see you get graded for a complete work.
I know it may not seem like a big deal, but a comma in the wrong place can entirely change the meaning of a sentence. You can't expect the reader to just figure out what you meant either, because as a pro, you have to know that stuff.
