Beaver (bet the beaver jokes have started already haven't they Jason?) is the first of the friends to die. W/his death you finally get to see what the creatures look like & what they're capable of, setting up your fear & loathing of them. With his death you see what sort of life threatening situation with which they've got to deal.
So it's a bit of a honor to be the first to die in this one.
Should be wonderfully gory too! The team that did the FX for Blade 2 worked on this one. Steve Johnson's XFX.
