Goldie is a bit edgier. She's sexier and ballsier (ovariesier!) than Long, whereas Long has that whole comedic prim-and-proper straight lady thing down pat.
Not that they aren't both good actresses with ranges, but I think they're more distinct than you're making them out to be.
