I seriously doubt that, even in the unlikely event that Kevin owed Affleck a huge favor, JLo has been in bigger financial blockbusters than Smith films. She may have heard about the film through Ben, but I'm sure she's doing it because she wanted to, and I'm sure Kevin hired her because he thought she was right for the part.
