All my years spent living overseas, the majority of non-native speakers of English I met who HAD learned the language in a proper class or from a tutor, usually just through school, spoke English with very little or no accent. It's only when I've been back here in America that I've noticed the stereotypical Indian or Chinese or Japanese, etc. accents in abundance. Kinda strange...donnacha think?!?
