I've been a Square fan since before it was cool... aka around 1990.

I was very disapointed with a few of Squares PSone games... such as the first Saga Frontier and Final Fantasy 8(which is my least favorite Square game in history) but things like Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Chrono Cross reminded me they could still make them as great as they come.

I'm really a Chrono fan. I'm really excited about the new Chrono Break game on the way.

I guess I just like the deep and dark aura of a true sequel.

I think that's another reason I loved Final Fantasy X so much.

The whole time you just knew shit was going bad, and it did. Even in the best case scenario shit went bad.

I would love a true sequel to Final Fantasy X to explore what happened after the major forces of that world and the major rituals were no longer needed.

Anyway, to quote someone who said something, "you're gonna have to come a bit more specific than that..."

I could wax philosophical about the state of Square and pretty much any game they've ever made. I had beaten Final Fantasy for the NES before most people had even played Final Fantasy II(4 here in the U.S.) and back then all my friends told me that Final Fantasy sucked because there are too many words.

I remember thinking RPGs going mainstream would finally mean my major hobby would get some respect... all it really did was ruin it for me.

Back in the day there were only a few RPGs a year. I remember savoring stuff like Seventh Saga when it came out like it was prized gold. There weren't enough RPGs out there for there to be too many cliché stories and only the best RPGs got ported to begin with.

Now, there are so many RPGs and so many of them have little vision that it's tough to pick and choose.
Legend of Dragoon was a cheap and worthless Final Fantasy 7 and 8 ripoff.

Sure, I hated Final Fantasy 8, but at least Square was TRYING to do something revolutionary. They quickly reverted away from that style though. They are also good about knowing when they screwed something up, and they fixed it.

I took a risk on Suikoden and was very happy, the sequel was equally fun and old school.

As far as Kingdom Hearts... I've had my copy preordered for a while now. I'm really looking forward to this, because Disney seems to be giving Square the same Carté Blanch that Nintendo did for Secret of the Seven Stars, and that is a very exciting prospect.

Anything else?
