Two things: A) We all know the story so it is hard to build too much tension when Obi, Ani, and Yodi (sorry had to keep with the alliteration) are fighting Dooku for example. No one will die. B) It is a space opera that spans 6 movies. The style of the movies must match. The themes must match somewhat. The big fans of the movie like myself have been following them from when we were very young. Most of us now would like to see a more mature movie but that again wouldn't match with the rest of the series. Okay Three things, and the only complaint that I possibly may have. The real things I personally want to know is how Anakin turns, how the Emperor got his powers and where he came from. Even in the third movie I don't think he will be exploring all of that and it is dissapointing. But if you take the perspective of watching these movies 100 years into the future like looking back at novels from the past I doubt anyone will complain. If for no other reason that they won't be quite as obsessed with the series as we are. My 2 cents anyway.
