i saw this crap movie today, thinking it'd be a crap movie, only to disappoint me more. i went into it thinking it'd be kinda like The One w/ Jet Li, just a bunch of crazy action scenes that were entertaining, and the plot only existing to allow more stunts and crazyness. If this movie had cared less about the plot then it might have been better.
XXX is of course a James Bond rip-off, we all knew that before going into it. the first 10 min poked fun at 007, with a guy in a suit getting killed by the bad guys. but where i was surprised was where it seemed to rip-off other movies as well, particulary one which i dont think was planned.
remember the one inept guard scene in austin powers. they fucking do that in here, only stupider and it makes less sense. there's a door which a guy is guarding which contains an important biological weapon which the bad guys created. after everyone leaves, vin diesel hides behind a bike and takes out the guard, of course with no silencer on his great magic gun which always hits its target. but the thing that pissed me off the most is, after he kills the guard he just opens the door and walks through. THE FUCKING THING ISNT EVEN LOCKED. dumbass bad guys.
the only other thing that pissed me off about the flick was his coat. now after seeing that movie, and him wearing that stupid coat everywhere, how can people still think he is straight. honestly he should just come out and get it over with. anyway, this movie is worth seeing once, make it a early show. at the end of the movie, if they hadnt cared about resolving the plot, which is very thin to begin with (and also very cliched), and if he had done more crazy stunts, then it would be better. no great movie here, just lots of mindless fun.
