As a long time fan of Kevin's work I have only in the past few years begun realizing more about the director/writer and the askewniverse. For a while at the beginning I didn't even realize Silent Bob was Kevin. I plan on attending the next vulgarathon and hope to be able to come to the Jersey girl opening night in NJ if there is one. I live in Texas but used to live near Philly and even though I have missed the deadline(my letter wont get there on time I am sure) to be an extra I am going to come visit just to see some of the filming. Kevin, if you read this make sure to head over to Nifty Fifties a few streets off of south street. Great milkshakes and fries. Congrats on all the weight loss and sorry for telling you about a great milkshake place but you have to have one before you leave Philly!!! Anyways, I am a huge fan of all the movies and recently bought drawing flies and a better place. Both are great and I am looking forward to Vulgar here in a few days. I have a few questions for whomever would like to respond(Hopefully Kevin but I know I am new here and dont get that privelege yet!!)
Before I knew who the original writer/director of Empire Records was I thought that perhaps it was a Kevin film because of the comedy along with a deep message. Any thoughts Kevin or other fans as to the quality of this movie or the similarity to Kevin films?
Also, I am still trying to find a copy of Big Helium Dog with no luck. Anyone know where I can find one?
In an old post previous to the making of Jay and Silent Bob Strike back I read where Kevin said moviepoopshoot.com was trashing the making of his movie. I looked up the site and see that it is registered to viewaskew so I was wondering if the entire thing was merely for movie hype or if Kevin got mad at them and decided to buy the site. If the latter is true then Did Kevin have to change the script entirely or just the name of the site bashing Jay and Silent Bob in the movie?
Thank you for your time and best of luck on the new movie Kevin and congrats on the family life going so well and being so inspiring to you.
