Mifune reference in cartoon Clerks?

Kevin (or anyone who knows tha answer),

Is Toshiro (in the second episode of the cartoon) a direct reference to Toshiro
Mifune ("Seven Samurai," "Yojimbo," etc.; see the link for more)?

It's a question I've meant to ask for a while, but after my wife and I watched
"Sanjuro" tonight I decided to finally nose around and see if there was an answer. I
can't find one in any of the archives, nor can I find one oout on the net...
