: All I'm saying is that you don't have to worship something in order to believe in it, and you don't necessarily have to believe in something in order to worship it. I've prayed to God for years and years, but I truthfully do not believe in him. I figure, what could it hurt?

I believe what I said above. No sarcasm at all. I too grew up in the church and to be honest I still believe in God. If for no other reason where the hell did this universe and everything in it come from? Who am I to totally dimiss the idea of a God, nor can I prove that he exists. I guess thats what Faith means. Who knows if God looks in on us, or is capable, or what any of this means. No one can know that, the Universe is too big. My view is there is an afterlife (though I'm only about 95% on that one again can't prove it either way) or at least there could be an afterlife and if it is the legnth of eternity I think I can wait the 80 or so years here to find out what happens. Until then I am going to to try to do my best by everyone I meet and enjoy this wonderful gift of life that we have been given. Also having just lost someone I was very close to if I didn't believe that he is in a better place it would hurt so much more. Just my humble opinion.
